Context
I work on a language learning focused application, designed for teachers and students to manage their courses through Chromebook devices. The application is under constant maintenance, with requests managed by the Project Manager, requiring regular updates to improve its functionality and usability.
Deliverables
- Design System Construction: I contribute to the development of a design system for an existing product. My responsibilities include:
- Redesign and creation of key components.
- Implementation of accessible colors and standardized variables for spaces.
- Design based on internal (inside-out) and external (outputs) requirements, addressing specific user needs.
- User Problem Solving: I design solutions to improve grading flows used by teachers (user 1) and students (user 2), optimizing educational processes.
- Technical Collaboration: The design system was created in Figma and is reviewed and approved by the developers for integration into Storybook, ensuring consistency between design and development.
Results
The design system standardizes the user experience, improves accessibility, and facilitates the implementation of changes in the application, ensuring effective collaboration between the design and development teams.
